To visit New Zealand, a visit visa issued by the government of New Zealand is required. You can visit the country for any purpose such as meeting with friends, business meetings or sightseeing. Although people from visa waiver countries do not require a visit visa for traveling to New Zealand such individuals must have an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority).

The Person applying for a visit visa should fulfill various eligibility criteria and is bound by certain conditions. The visit visa is valid for 9 months and the person on a visit visa may study a course which is not more than 3 months. While on a visit visa, the person can explore the sightseeing, visit relatives and attend a business meeting. The person may also include the spouse and the dependent children who are aged 19 years or below. Visit visa is not required to the person who is Australian national and the UK citizens may stay up to 6 months in New Zealand without any visa requirement.
